What “Pay As You Go” means
PAYG is built for trips where you don’t want to guess gigabytes upfront. You add balance, use what you need, and top up anytime — especially handy when plans change mid‑trip.
We’re building this as a global product, so one balance can work across multiple destinations. If you’re a heavy data user (streaming or daily video calls), a fixed prepaid package will usually be better value.
Need data today? Our prepaid destination packages install the same way and give you a clear data allowance from day one.
Who PAYG is a good fit for
PAYG shines when your trip is a bit unpredictable: you don’t know how much data you’ll need, you might hop between destinations, or you simply want a “small but always there” data line for maps and messages.
- Multi‑stop itineraries: one balance, less switching between plans.
- Light to medium use: navigation, messaging, rides, bookings.
- Backup data: when you don’t trust hotel Wi‑Fi for airport pickups or late‑night transfers.
FAQ
Is PAYG available right now? Not yet — this page is live so you can find it, but the products are still being finalized.
Will PAYG be cheaper than a fixed package? Sometimes, but not always. If you stream a lot or hotspot a laptop daily, fixed bundles usually win on value.
Can I keep my main number? Yes. With dual‑SIM phones, your physical SIM can stay on for calls/SMS while the eSIM handles data.
